About Tilly...
Matilda came into this world under difficult circumstances; she was delivered not breathing and required resuscitation, soon after suffering numerous seizures.  She spent her first two weeks of life at the Mater Mothers hospital hooked up to monitors and it was then the doctors made the grim discovery Tilly had experienced an hypoxic (lack of oxygen) episode during the labour process.  Although Matilda has not had the best of starts, she has shown strength of character, that she is up for the challenge and so the name Matilda is perfect for her, Matilda meaning: Strength for battle, Strong in war. 
At 8 months of age Tilly was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
Matilda’s Cerebral Palsy at present means the simple things that most of us take for granted are a struggle for Tilly, like sitting, crawling, walking, talking and using her hands.  However with early intervention and specialised care, outcomes for thefuture can be enhanced.

We want to helpraise enough money to purchase Tilly mobility equipment so she can further learn how to use her legs in the quest to walk and to continue her therapies.

Brisbane's Annual Riverwalk 2010

When: On Sunday 12th September
Where: 10am at Orleigh Park, West End
The Event: A 5km walk along the Brisbane River, commencing at Orleigh Park, West End to Southbank and back.
Registration:Register at the event, on Sunday 12 September. The walk starts at 10am. Fees $20 family / $7 adults / $3 concession. After the walk,you are invited to share a sausage sizzle and join in the activities and prize draws.
